Rose Mallow (Hibiscus moschutos) is a vigorous, sturdy, rounded perennial native that thrives in full sun and adapts well to average, medium to wet soils. Best suited to moist, organically rich soils, it also performs surprisingly well in average garden soils when consistently kept moist. This somewhat shrubby, hairy-stemmed, woody-based member of the mallow family typically grows 3 to 7 feet tall and spreads up to 2 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for rain gardens, naturalistic landscapes and restoration projects.
