Golden Alexander forms small colonies in moist woods and meadows, with flat-topped clusters of tiny yellow flowers in late spring on stems up to 3 ft. tall. Adaptable and easy to grow, it tolerates a wide range of soils—including clay, sand, and rocky ground. It’s also an important host plant for black swallowtail butterfly larvae.
